Hi ,
We're pleased to bring you an interview with usability expert Joel Flom, and also share our book keeper Jane Sadler's interview on 9am with David and Kim.
Plus the team here is busy training for the Bridge to Brisbane fun run & we’d love it you could support us.
HR is also the hot topic at Bluewire lately – Toby addressed a group of QUT students about what to expect working in a web design company.
Plus there’s a quick survey where you could win a $100 Chalk Hotel voucher.
All the best,

In the community: GPS & BAA
The annual GPS Rugby Golf day was well attended by many friends and clients of Bluewire Media and it helped raise valuable funds for the club. Well done to everyone at Jeeps for organising the great day!
Also, Brisbane Advertising Association or ‘BAA’ to those in the know, recently celebrated their 20th year. Recognition must go to outgoing president Dimity Powell for all her amazing work over the last two years and also well done to Rod Kirkwood who takes over as BAA President.
Bluewire Media is proud to support these two organisations.
PS. BAA is looking for a new beer sponsor, so if you can help out, we'll pass on your details.

It's been a busy month at Bluewire Media! Toby and Adam caught up with IT Associates for lunch at Trangs Vietnamese in West End (1), and they got to meet "Scott" the nametag guy at an AIM (Australian Institute of Management) breakfast (2).
Shane Arnold from AFA gave a wealth creation workshop at the office (3), Lesley hopped along to another GLAM seminar (4), Toby attended the BAA AGM (5), and Ange, Toby and Adam gave a recruitment talk at a recent QUT work placement information night (6).
And finally, the guys checked out a Broncos game with AFA (7). Phew! |

iPhone app review: Bump
Price: FREE Get it from iTunes
Bump is a fun (and free!) application that makes swapping contact details so, so easy. Simply 'bump' your iPhone or iPod Touch with another and it instantly transfers phone numbers, adddresses, photos, or the entire contact card to the other device.
So how does it work? Both users need the app and a 3G/wifi internet connection. When you bump, wave or shake the phone (this activates the device's accelerometer) Bump checks to see if another phone is being bumped in the same location at the same time, finds a match and then lets you swap details.
The 1 billionth app to be downloaded from iTunes, Bump has the potential to develop into a really useful application. Expect to see more functionality (e.g. file transfers) added in the future.
