HYPOXI E- Magazine, December 2010
Dear
Does it feel like your life has been booked with weddings lately? Maybe taking that extra step towards commitment is in the air, as this past year marriage rates have reached an all time high in Australia AND is expected to rise. What’s more, in addition to November, these next two months are the most popular times for weddings...
HYPOXI studios around the country are currently playing host to many women (and men) trying to get in shape in time for the big day. We have Sandra, the 57 year old about to commit to her man for the second time around. Then there’s Michelle – who is about to marry the man who saw her through the last three years of cancer treatment. Every client has a beautiful story behind the reason they are ready to commit. So as a tribute to all the brides to be and their families, HYPOXI is dedicating this month’s newsletter to weddings.
Features this month include advice on how to uphold commitments, inspiration from committed HYPOXI clients, a delicious recipe to help you stay committed to your weight loss goals…plus more!
Happy Hypoxi-ing!

HYPOXI Gets Technical - Winner
Thank you to all those that provided us with some great insight into what you are looking for in a smart phone app. Topping the list of suggested features was a calorie counter so that you could easily manage your daily input and outputs.
We were hard pressed to choose one winner, however we couldn’t look past Tina Tziallas from Bowral, NSW.
Tina put in a huge amount of effort providing us with a 10 page brief detailing her features and why they would be a great fit for our HYPOXI app. In short it was to be kept simple and easy to use, however seamlessly allowed it’s user to track their results, manage their nutrition and how to find a HYPOXI studio of course. It was just brilliant. Congratulations Tina you are truly deserving of the 12 Session HYPOXI Course and merchandise pack.

HYPOXI ON WEDDING DRESS ETIQUETTE
What Do You Wear? |
|
|
Not sure what to wear to the wedding? HYPOXI helps you decipher the dress code on that pretty invitation so that you will look your prettiest at the wedding.
White tie: Evening time. Very glamorous and formal. Men wear full black tail coat and pants with white bow tie. Women wear fill length evening dresses/ball gowns..
Black tie: One step below white. Men wear a black dinner suit with black bow tie. Women wear formal dinner dresses long or short.
Morning suit: Black or grey tail coat with grey or black striped pants, white shirt, grey waistcoat and grey silk tie for men. Women wear formal wear.
Lounge suit: A popular choice for less formal weddings and can be considered the appropriate dress code at any time, day or night. Dark business suit wear. Women can wear a dress or smart suit, or even a cocktail dress if the wedding is held in the afternoon or early evening.
Smart Casual: Appropriate dress code for a wedding at any time if stated on the invitation. For the men, a suit with optional tie. A tailored jacket and tailored pants will pass, but not jeans! Women wear dresses or pants.
Cocktail: Men are required to wear a suit (preferably dark) and tie. Women wear pretty dresses with all the glittering adornments they chose.
Informal: Men wear blazers or tailored sports jackets with tailored trousers optional - no jeans. Women dress as if they were going out to a nice restaurant.
No dress code indicated: If you receive an engraved invitation in black ink on a heavy stock card with no dress code written in a very formal address for a wedding after six o'clock, the dress code is considered white tie, at four or five o'clock black tie is appropriate. If the invitation is not presented this way then they have forgotten to include it...contact the maid of honour.
Creative: Creative dress codes can be harder to decipher and may need some extra thought and advice. If you receive a wedding invitation and you have no idea what the dress code means let alone is asking you to wear, then you need to contact the best man or maid of honour for their advice.

HYPOXI’S SPOTLIGHT SUCCESS STORY
|
|
Name: Nicole Voorhout
Age: 36
HYPOXI STUDIO: Neutral Bay
Her transformation so incredible, you’d have to do a double take of her before and after photos to make sure it’s the same person. Because Nicole, today, is not the same person she was 18 months ago-she is less than half of it!
With commitment and HYPOXI treatments, Nicole was able to transform her body and her life. By dropping the weight she improved her health that had troubled her for so long and she went from a size 24 to a size 10. She credits her HYPOXI treatments for improving her weight loss journey. “Even when my weight loss should have been slowing down, I was losing 37 cm from my hips, bum and thighs in 12 sessions of Hypoxi. Hypoxi kept me motivated to reach my final goal.”
Now that Nicole is a healthier and sexier version of her old self, her confidence levels have gotten a much needed boost, too. So much so she is confident that her love life will get a boost as well! Looking for love and commitment can be daunting if you are not loving yourself, but HYPOXI is happy to report that this is no longer the case for Nicole.
Nicole’s transformation is not only incredible, but it’s inspirational. Her story and HYPOXI should be motivation to anyone who is committed to being a better version of themself this 2011 year.
Thank you Nicole for your motivating story and allowing HYPOXI to be apart of it!

The Story of the Turtle & the Hare
Remembering This Childhood Story Can Help You Stay Committed!
“I’m going to lose 15 kilos! Starting this month”…Have two months passed and you are not a kilo lighter? Perhaps this isn’t the only commitment you found you haven’t upheld. Perhaps it’s time to size your commitments up… Are they too big?
Whether your commitment was to run a 10k, give up coffee, spring clean the house or end a toxic relationship, it is frustrating to find yourself in the second month of 2011… well…. still not committed! You wouldn’t believe, but the story of the turtle and the hare can help you stay committed and Femmefiles will tell you how...
One of the most influential reasons why we can’t stay committed is because of our expectations. We expect ourselves to do everything overnight, when often times, it can take days for it to happen. That is why the turtle and the hare’s storyline of “slow and steady wins the race” is the best approach to take.
If you are committed to losing weight and found that you haven’t done so, take it slow. For example, instead of saying, “I’m going to lose 15 kilos” start with, “I’m going to lose 1 kilo a week.” Changing the 15 kilo to 1 kilo loss isn’t as overwhelming and it gives you a better place to start. In just as little as 3 months, you could find you achieved your 15 kilo weight loss without even realizing!
Another example of hard to keep commitments is...
